What to look for when shopping for CBD products

I'm going to go ahead and start this one out with a bang:

80% of CBD products on the market are likely garbage.

Whether it's a synthetic, or the product doesn't contain what it claims on the label, there's plenty to watch out for. So I wanted to make a blog post for consumers so you know what to look out for.

Lab results

The number one thing you should request to see from any CBD company would be Lab Results. CBD companies should be using 3rd party lab testing to ensure potency and purity. These tests will show you at minimum the THC and CBD content of the products, and potentially other cannabinoids and nutrients.

False Claims

When visiting a website that sells CBD products, don't be fooled by the companies making outrageous product claims. With minimal exceptions, CBD generally do not run clinical trials, and are therefore unqualified to make product claims regarding their products. If conducted however, these trials would give the company the right to make health claims, which we do not do in our industry. I would recommend that you look up the ailments that you would like to use CBD for on your own. You can Google something like "CBD for Arthritis" or "CBD for Pain". You should be able to find many published articles about how CBD can potentially help you out.

Misrepresentation

Mislabeling is a huge issue in the CBD industry. There are a lot of companies claiming "Certified Organic", I personally only know of one company who's own operations are truly "USDA Organic" -certified. If you see companies labeling their products as organic, you can go to the USDA's website to input their information and see if they are truly certified with the USDA. This does NOT mean however, that companies don't use certified organic ingredients, but this should even be taken with consideration if organic products are important to you as a consumers.

Conclusion

At DREEM, we feel that we have an obligation to make sure whether you are using our DREEMCBD products or not -that you as consumers are getting quality products. So double check the information we provided today when shopping for your CBD!

Hello Teresa! Austin here with DREEM. We are not certified organic by the USDA, so we will not show up on their website. As our industry progresses and we have the opportunity to vertically integrate this is a certification that we will be seeking! We currently put effort into sourcing our hemp that was grown under organic farming practices though! Thanks for your question!

I went to USDA website and put your company name in and it came up with nothing. Is it under your suppliers name?

Wait, we have an endo-what? And we produce cannabinoids? Where have I been?! These were some of my questions when I first heard tell of the remarkable endocannabinoid system or ECS. I felt so ignorant and like I had been living under a rock, but I was also excited and intrigued! I wanted to know more so I read what I could and talked with those more familiar with the subject, as I was utilizing and selling CBD oil and wanted to be informed. Who knows about this and how long have they known? What IS IT?! What role does it play and how can it affect our health?

Do you know there are at least 7 ways to ingest CBD oil?! It’s true, as if CBD isn’t confusing enough as it is 😉 How one chooses to ingest CBD will not change the effect, but it will determine the intensity and speed of absorption. In addition to finding a high-quality oil, it is very wise to weigh your options and find the right fit. Don’t buy an oil if you are turned off by the flavor or texture – you don’t want it sitting in your cabinet, you want to use it! On the other hand, if you’re considering sublingual you’ll be glad to know it is a long-standing delivery method with proven effectiveness*! Knowing more about the many ways to utilize the popular supplement can help you determine the right product for you!
